Section 1, Unit 5: Talk about age

This unit talks about age.  As usual unless stated otherwise examples are from Dynamite kiss. In case anyone is reading this and is wondering how I find the links, I find them by searching the subtitle files with a python script i made myself.

Grammar Point: 몇 - question words

Question words like 몇 (how many) are placed where the information in the answer is supposed to be. 

Let's try the principle in an English sentence:

I am '9' years old.

Then let's replace '9' with 'how many' to illustrate the Korean sentence structure:

You are 'how many' years old?

Example 

저는 다섯 살이에요 

I am 5 years old.

저는 몇 살이에요?

I am how many years old? (literally) or 

How old am I? 

If we drop the subject (저는) it will be assumed that the speaker is asking about the listener 'you'. 

몇 살이에요?

How old are you?
